Below is another excerpt from my book, “You Are Worthier: A Guide to Improving Your Illness or Injury on the Road to Recovery” —

“Let me be honest: To decide to change your life and let go of your usual way of doing things requires patience, will, and courage. It is not easy, but it works.

Adjusting life does not mean that you have to replace all the furniture in your home, leave your partner, move to the other hemisphere or change your name. On top of that, you do not have to change your preferred religion or pay a heap of money to some questionable therapist who promises you a rose garden of healing if you drink his special magic potion or do a handstand at a full moon.

An adjustment to life merely means that you have to consider if you can change your routines in order to recover and increase your quality of life.”
